Differences between Renewable and nonrenewable

Renewable and non Renewable sources of energy.

Resources

It is a source or supply from which benefits is produced ,In our environment everything is present which can be used to satisfy our needs,it is technologically accessible, economically feasible and culturally acceptable is known  as
Renewable resource

Resources can be classified as two types,on the basis of exhaustibility.

1.Renewable resources
2.non Renewable resources

Renewable resources

A resources which can be  reproduced or renew by physical, chemical and mechanical process are known as Renewable resources. It is replenishable  after some time .
Eg.forests,water,sunlight  and wild life .

It can be  further divided into continuous or flow.

1. Solar energy

Sun is bright and  a big source of energy. Energy produces by sun is known as  solar energy. Due to solar energy all the natural phenomenon is possible like photosynthesis ,wind energy .In modern day of life now a days solar energy is for many purpose such as to cook food , pump water for irrigation and also used in cooker.

2. Hydro-Energy

Now a daysWater is important natural resources for living life. In beautiful way all living organisms need water to live for many purposes human need water such as drinking, cleaning, cooking and for agriculture in irrigation.  hydro energy is a sources of energy water stored in the dam after flowing into the river. Hydro energy is simply converted into electrical energy.

3. Wind energy

In nature winds are constantly being created. electrical energy is produced from windmill it is a sources of electrical energy  .   where most of the days in a year experience strong winds at those places windmills are generally estabilsihed. Wind energy is used for grinding grain, pumping water and to produce electricity.  Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Kerala, West Bengal and Gujarat are those places of india where windmill estabilsihed.

Non Renewable resources

A resources which can  be reproduced or renew by physical, chemical and mechanical process formation of these resources after long geological period of time is known as non renewable resources.
Eg.metal can be recyclable but fossil fuels and minerals can not be recyclable and get exhausted with their over use.

The original organic matter, oil or gas are formed with the aid of heat and pressure. Metal ores ,earth minerals and  fossils fuels such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas are non-renewable resources, though expect in nuclear reaction individual elements are conserved.

KEY points

  • A substance that can be used more quickly and can not renew quickly as compare to Renewable resources is known as non Renewable resources. It is finite in nature.
  • Example of nonrenewable resources like fossils fuels, minerals and metal ore.
  • Solar and wind power and water are example of Renewable resources.

Fossil Fuels Vs. Nonrenewable

All Fossil fuels are nonrenewable resources. But not all nonrenewables resources are fossil fuels. natural gas, cruise oil and coal are all  considered as fossil fuels, but uranium is not considered as fossil fuels. Rather, it is a used for many purpose and it is a heavy metal , extracted as a solid converted by nuclear power plants into fuel resources.
