Differences between conventional and non conventional sources of energy

conventional and non conventional source of energy.

Energy

It can be defined as  the capacity or ability or power  to work in our day to day life. It is required in everyday life of different person and playing important role to fulfill the requirements of person. It is required in every field like In industry, agriculture and sports as well as in many other fields.

Energy can be classified as in two types.

1.convenctional
2.non ‌conventional

Conventional

It is natural energy resources and it is present on earth in limited way for use in day to day life and are being used for long time.It is known as conventional source of energy or non Renewable sources of energy.

Consumption rate is very high as compared to renew the resources  for next time . They are formed over million of years from dead and decaying materials.
Eg. petroleum, coal,e electricity and natural resources.

Formation of coal

At the time ,hundred million years ago due to disaster huge amount of tree buried under earth after million years coal formed by physical and chemical process.

Formation of petroleum

petroleum formed from dead and decaying substances .In ocean and  sea  large variety of insect and fishes are present of his dead body  settle on the bottom of ocean and sea.over million  of years formation of petroleum occur.

Non-convectional

It is a sources of energy Continuously can replenish  by physical and chemical process or natural process.I t cannot be exhaust easily after exploitation. It is also known as Renewable sources of energy.

eg. Tidal energy, solarenergy, biomas and geothermal energy .It can be replenished by natural process.Rate of consumption is less than the rate of expenditure.

Conventional sources of energyNon-conventional sources of energy
It is natural sources of energy are not in huge amounts, present in limited quantity, e.g. coal, petroleum, natural gas. These sources of energy are  huge amount in nature, e.g. solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy, biogas from biomass etc.
It is  using  for a long time.Over the past few years .They are in developing  phase.
Do not replenishable. They are formed over a million years.By natural process they are continuously replenishable
They are called non-renewable sources of energy, cannot be replenishable after some time. They are called renewable sources of energy,r replenishable.
Due to over-consumption ,they can be exhaust easily except for hydel power. It cannot be exhausted completely
Due to emitting harmful gases environment polute can cause global warming.Do not pollute the environment,it is like environment friendly
In today time used for commercial and industrial purposeThey are commonly used for household purposes and many others
For maintaining these sources of energy need heavy expenditure .It is less expensive
It is trustful resources for using purpose. It is not trustful resources for using purpose.
